Introduction

Steel Window Design is an Australian manufacturer of custom steel windows and doors, servicing residential and commercial projects nationwide. Their old site didn't reflect the quality of the product with an outdated design, hard to navigate, and painful to update. I redesigned it from scratch to match the craft behind the brand.

Reflecting the craft behind the product

The brief was to make the website feel as considered as the steel windows and doors it presented. I designed a clean, premium interface that gave products and completed projects room to be explored.

Helping different customers find a starting point

Architects, builders and homeowners arrive with different questions. I designed a mega menu that brings products, past projects and quote requests into a clear navigation structure.

Giving the team control over content

I worked closely with the Emote development team to translate the designs into a flexible CMS. The team can update product listings, add projects and manage content themselves.

Existing project content was migrated and refreshed as part of the build, preserving the portfolio already in place.

Result

The redesigned site brings product browsing, project inspiration and quote requests into a consistent experience, supported by a CMS the Steel Window Designs team can manage.
